Girls' Camp Rocks!

The girls in our ward are the best. They are so supportive of each other. We really enjoyed hawaiian haystacks at our luau.
Here is Laurie, our intrepid fire builder, with Monique supervising and Kellie contributing.  One of the best things about crashing Girls' Camp is getting to know the leaders and girls better.  I went up Tuesday with Elizabeth and we brought Domino's pizza from Heber for dinner, and then played the candy bar game.  Then I was able to go back on Thursday for Bishopric night.  It was so awesome to go twice!

On Tuesday, the girls were doing a craft when Elizabeth and I arrived, bedazzling everything in sight.  They had to do everyone's faces.  I felt like I was a character in the book Pretties by Scott Westerfeld.
The leaders had a theme for dinner every night.  Tuesday (pizza) was Italian night, Wednesday was Mexican night, and Thursday was a luau. Megan posted these awesome pics on Facebook of Greg after he was "decorated" for dinner Wednesday night.
On Thursday, Mary and Jessica were already at camp representing the Relief Society when I arrived with the Reiches.  There was a contest sponsored by the stake that had the girls building a 2-room fortress out of cardboard and duct tape and the decorations that were supposed to be for the luau that night.  I thought they built the best one, hands down, but they didn't win any prizes...
Greg bought a brand new carport/canopy for the girls, and we put it up on Tuesday.  It was so fun to watch all of the girls work together.  On Wednesday, Greg came back to civilization for approximately 6 hours because they wanted him to pick up some things.  While he was gone, a huge storm rolled through, and there were gale force winds.  The beautiful new canopy blew over into one of the tents, bending poles and ripping part of a tent.  So much for that!
P.S.  Thanks to Paige and Megan for posting pics on Facebook so that I could borrow them!
