Sweet Ellie

I love watching Ellie and discovering how her smart brain works.  While Jeff was installing our cabinet doors, we were playing downstairs.  Ellie likes to "cook" for us, but this time she asked Greg what he wanted and then pretended to write it down.  It was adorable to watch her concentration as she would repeat the item and wiggle the "pen" around on her "notebook."
Our basement is now officially done with the doors installed.  Well, Jeff is going to come back and put some knobs on, but I am counting it as officially done!

While we were playing with Rod, Jayme, Jasmine and Byron today, Rod came up with the idea to go swimming.  Ellie was so excited, and when we got home she had Tammy help her get all ready.  She put on her swimsuit and towel and cover-up, then her water wings and turtle floatie.  Rod and Jayme ended up not coming, but we met Kent, Jessica, and Denver and spent a fun hour at the pool.
Lynlee was completely freaked out for a while, and had a death grip on my swimsuit.  After we moved away from the really loud tipping bucket, she warmed up and enjoyed herself.  Ellie got really brave by the end, and went down all of the kiddie slides by herself.

We finished up the night with a bbq with Tammy, Rod et al and Kent et al, and it was a great day.  Ellie was so cute with Jasmine, "helping" her get her plate and cup, and showing her all of the toys.  They played really well together.

Parker hated the Legacy pool because of how load it is. We now go to the outdoor pool.
