The long awaited day was finally here--Ellie's preschool graduation.
She woke up at 6:15 (very early for her) and climbed in bed with Greg and me. She immediately crawled back out and put on her swimsuit and starting packing her bag. Miss Traci had said to bring a towel, sunscreen, and some water, and that is exactly what Ellie packed.
I told her that her graduation was not until after lunch. She immediately said, "well, let's make some chicken nuggets, then."
It was 6:45 a.m.
After a normal morning, and running to Kinz and Syreese's piano recital, it was finally time to go.
Love these girls!
We got there right after Blake, and after waiting for the rest (who ended up not coming), Miss Traci got the program started.
They sang some darling songs and then were ready to get their diplomas.
Ellie could not quite get her hat to stay to her satisfaction.
After some treats, Blake and his family left, and Ellie and Hope braved the 55 degree weather for a pool party. Loren and Traci added some hot water, and the girls decided that the little pool was warm enough.
And sorry about the exposure--I had my settings wrong.
They tried out the big pool and quickly decided it was not going to work.
More bites of her cookie. Or maybe she was finishing Lynnie's cookie.
Ellie has learned a lot in preschool this year and it has been fabulous watching her grow. She has hit academic milestones (like writing all of her letters and reading dozens of words), but more than that, she has grown in her ability to try new things and be kind to others.
We love Miss Traci!
