The much anticipated Camp Family Reunion was finally here, and we pulled out of our driveway at 6:18 a.m. Destination: Granby, Colorado and the Snow Mountain Ranch. We had enjoyed a nice visit last night with Pops, Nana, Aunt Sharon, and Aunt Gail, who stayed the night with us. We left an hour before them and arrived an hour after them.
The girls travelled really well. Cece had the hardest time (understandably), but she was happy most of the day as well. Our lunch stop was at a little roadside stand in Colorado somewhere. The business had a sign that said, "if you don't have time to wait, just leave."
We were there for over an hour.
We entertained ourselves by playing on this bench and taking lots of fun pictures.
We were excited to arrive after our 10 hour trip and check in. The ranch property was gorgeous, and it is always fun to be up in the mountains.
Our opening activity, after dinner, was a campfire with some songs, games, and s'mores.
Our room in the Silver Sage Lodge was great, with a queen bed and two sets of bunk beds. Greg pushed the bunk beds together in the middle of the room, which created a nook for Cece's port-a-crib in the corner. By hanging up one of the bedspreads, she couldn't see us and went right to sleep every time. Lynnie and Ellie decided they were going to share a top bunk, which lasted until it was time to actually go to sleep, and then Lynnie opted for the bottom bed.
