Cecilia is 20 Months Old

So many good pictures this month!  I had a hard time narrowing it down.

When I pulled out the camera and the number sticker, Cece ran into my room and climbed into the chair, ready to go!

After getting these awesome smiles, I realized I had forgotten to put her ears in, so I went to get her hearing aids.  Cece had snagged my phone and then was more interested in playing on it than smiling for the camera again.  Lynnie tried to help.

At 20 months of age, Cece

~ wears size 2T, 3T, and/or 4 clothes, size 5 shoes, size 5 diapers
~ has learned how to give a thumbs up
~  still wakes up once or twice a night, usually around 10:30 and 1 a.m., or midnight and 4 a.m.
~ loves to run and spin and dance
~ has started climbing everything -- the footboard on my bed, the stairs up to Ellie's bed, and everything in between
~ has the cutest growl when she is "talking"
~ is a master at using my phone.  She loves to text people and call people.  I try to only have her text {R} and Greg but sometimes she will send random messages to others.  And she has figured out how to call Grandma and Daddy.
~ is so sweet and loving if she gets exactly what she wants, and can throw quite a fit when told no
~ is spunky and sassy and absolutely perfect!

Sisters

Cece came down with a cold on Monday, Grandma and I got sick Tuesday (Grandma had babysat Monday morning while I volunteered at the Book Fair), and Lynnie got sick Thursday.  Super fun.

Cece was extra snuggly because she didn't feel well, and Lynnie loved those snuggles.

Cece always wants to be just like her big sisters -- no matter what they are doing.

Suzuki Celebration Gala Concert

The day we have been practicing for was finally here!  Ellie and Lynnie have been working hard and learned two songs to sing as well as being excited to play the Twinkles.

Cece had the opportunity to play with {R} again, and it sounds like they had a super fun day!  The best part is when {R} texted me and said that Cece was really showing off for her :)

We got all lined up in the hallway again, and this time Lynnie and Genna stood next to each other.  There was a rehearsal first, and then a short dinner break before the concert began.  They were nice to the Twinklers, and after getting lined up, they had us relax and play in the hallway before joining the rehearsal halfway through.

One of my favorite parts of Ellie's personality is her ability to make friends anywhere at any time.  Mia was funny and they had a good time together.

Smile, Ellie!

Little Molly was super sweet.  She is only 3 and played her Twinkles on a box violin.  She fell asleep during the rehearsal and tried really hard to be reverent during the concert, but it was hard work.  Ellie tried valiantly to help her, entertaining her with pictures and games on Daddy's phone.

1300 students participated, on the violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, harp, guitar, voice, and piano.

Aunt Bobi came to watch the concert, and we told her to wear a black shirt so she would look like a parent volunteer and come sit by us.

The red dots were the Twinklers designation, and they told us to have them put a picture of themselves on their cases to help find them more easily.

We were glad that Grandma encouraged us to sign up and come!  Ellie said her favorite part was everything.  Lynnie said her favorite part was walking out where the prophet gets to walk out.

Fall Carnival

The one big fundraiser that Renaissance Academy does every year is the Fall Carnival.  The girls have been looking forward to it since school started, and the day was finally here!  The girls and I were there early because I was helping to run Miss Fox's booth for the first hour.  Greg joined us after about 45 minutes and took the girls around for a while as I finished up my turn.

Learning how to do the plunger race was eventful and resulted in lots of spills.

Waiting in line at the dunk tank.  We were trying to dunk Mrs Holmgren, Ellie's kindergarten teacher, but she got out of the tank when there were still 4 people ahead of us in line.  Oh well.

Balloons!

Ellie and Lynnie were most excited to get their hair spray painted.  It was so windy, but the ladies from Great Clips gave it a valiant effort.

Hands down, our favorite booth was the Ninja Monkey Warrior course.

Ellie loved that she got to climb up and press the buzzer -- just like a real American Ninja Warrior!
