So Close.... rolling over

And if you want to check out Signing Time for free, Channel 9 - UEN is airing episodes on Mondays at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m.  Next Monday is Episode 4 (one of our favorites) at 12:30 and Episode 5 at 3:30.  Then the Monday after that is Episode 5 at 12:30 and Episode 6 at 3:30.

Another random tidbit - I just watched Kid History on youtube.  Hilarious - made me laugh out loud!  Thanks to Shanelle for posting on her blog so I could see.

I took over 100 pictures of the girls in their Easter dresses.  They were being so funny that I couldn't help it!  Lynlee loves her tongue lately, and she can roll it into a clover shape.  Ellie is signing "scared."

Ellie wanted to hold Lynlee - and I swear their heads are the same size!

Ellie pushed her bracelet up on her left arm, and wore it that way all through church

Ellie had no problem opening both Easter baskets.  Favorite items - the new Signing Time videos!

After church and a nap, Ellie wanted to hold Lynnie Lou again.

Ellie loves to "get" Dad - and Lynlee loves to laugh at them!
Easter is a wonderful time of reflection and renewal.  I am grateful for the chance to celebrate Jesus' life, death and resurrection.

Easter Egg Hunt

Todd and Rachel invited us to their house Saturday to celebrate Cassie's birthday and have an Easter Egg Hunt.  We had a nice lunch (hot dogs, at Cassie's request) and then got ready for the big event.  It was Ellie and Lynlee's first time, and it was awesome!
Kyralyn entertaining Lynlee.  Kyralyn kept on trying to get Ellie to play, but Ellie was not to sure what to think with all of the people around, so she preferred to stay by Mom and Dad.

Ellie got to go first, because she was the youngest

Ellie was a little cautious for the first couple of eggs, and then she got the hang of it.  "MORE!" she would say, and run off looking for the next treasure.

Parker was our helper (the bigger kids paired up with the younger ones)

mucho props to Clayton for his photography skills!

girl cousins are few and far between on the Spencer side; good thing Ellie and Lynlee came along to help even out the numbers!

the younger set (+ Daniel, who "helped" Tylan) did the egg hunt, and the older set did a scavenger hunt

Opening the eggs was the best part!  Ellie would lick the candy and spit it or throw it back in her bucket.  I like that she doesn't like candy yet.

Whew!  In the time it took to put Lynlee down for a nap, Ellie fell asleep.  So sweet!

So Close To Sitting Up

Lynlee is getting close to sitting up on her own!  She can balance for about a second...

...and then this happens!  Over she goes!

The other morning, I was taking a shower and Greg was shaving.  Ellie usually roams the house and plays in the morning; she is always happy then.  We realized we hadn't seen her in a few minutes, so Greg went to check on her and found her like this.  She managed to climb in the bouncer, but then couldn't get back out!  She didn't seem to mind - she was playing the piano and with all of the toys.

Ellie loves to dip chips in salsa
Lynlee loves to snuggle

Camera Shy?

classic Ellie face - it's as if she is asking, why are you pointing that camera at me again?

saying "cheese."  does it get any more half-hearted than that?

at least I can get one beautiful baby to smile for the camera!!!  and this gorgeous dress is a hand-me-down from Hope

...sweet girls can't go a minute without touching each other...

Life Lately

Ellie and I were coloring when Lynlee woke up from her nap.  So I left E to finish while I got L up.  When L and I got back out to the kitchen, Ellie had taken a huge bite from her purple crayon.  It took almost 3 minutes of brushing her teeth to get all of the crayon out.  I don't think she'll do it again, just because she didn't like the crayon-extraction process!  She didn't get in trouble or anything, it was just the consequence of eating the crayon.
Full mouth + teasing Dad = happy girl!
While I was cleaning up Lynlee and getting her clothes changed after her first power-puking episode, Nick tried to deliver our weekly order of fresh eggs.  I didn't answer the door, so as soon as we were all ready, we loaded up in the stroller to walk over his money.  Ellie is fascinated by Rocko, and says "Rocko" really clearly!

Our Little Friends

Our little friends Ellie and Lynlee came to play with us today. Nick had the great idea to have Ellie feed the chickens and she had so much fun throwing corn into the chicken run. We had just as much fun watching her...she would get such a kick out of the chickens going for the corn on the ground.

This is what Lynlee did most of the time. :) She did wake up long enough to drink her bottle, get her diaper changed and watch her sister with fascination.

We love it when they come to play!!

Around our house lately, we have been wiping lots of noses and washing lots of throw-up out of burp cloths.  In between all of that (and yes, today, both girls finally seem better!), we have been
getting all pretty for church - and maintaining personal space

eating Girl Scout cookies with Dad, while sitting in her favorite "hurdler" position

climbing on the dishwasher when no one was looking - guess we'll have to keep it latched from now on

celebrating 5 months of life

trying out new hairstyles (thanks to Jonette for the idea!)
and talking to ourselves in the mirror

playing so happily together
