Tanya was visiting Greg's parents and invited us to come over and play.  We finished dinner and Lynnie was acting pretty tired, so we went ahead and got the girls bathed and in their pajamas before we headed over around 7.  When we got there, Tammy was giving Andrew a 4-wheeler ride.  I asked Ellie if she wanted a turn and she told me NO, but when Greg asked her, she hesitantly nodded her head.

Ellie was excited to have her picture taken before Tammy fired up the 4-wheeler.
But not at all excited once the ride started.
They had gone just a few feet before Ellie started wailing, and I could hear her over the noise of the engine.  Tammy quickly turned around and brought her back.

Lynlee was excited to get on, reaching for Tammy.  She is definitely an adventurous soul.

Greg wanted to make sure Ellie was left with a positive experience, so he tried taking her for a short ride.  She did fine with Daddy!

Bunny Ears

We kind of missed Easter at our house, since I was ill.  So the bunny ears didn't make it out until just the other day.  Lynlee loves to put them on her head!

She had just woken up from a nap and we hadn't gotten her glasses back on yet--we really are good about having her wear them all of the time.

Lynlee has figured out that it is fun to push the stroller!  Ellie gets a little jealous sometimes, but it works out most of the time.

It's Official...

...there is a walker in our house!
Lynlee has been really going to town since Wednesday. She has figured out that walking is fun and she is almost as fast at walking as she is at crawling.  She loves to walk from the tile all the way across the basement into the guest bedroom, where she turns around and walks all the way back to the playroom.

Lynnie loves to "crash" into the bean bag

Puppies are her favorite toy!

Stairs are also a favorite

Ellie likes to demonstrate her hula hoop skills

There is a great "mini-park" not to far from our house, and we had a great time walking there today.  The weather is a little cooler again, which made it really nice for me.  And we were the only ones at the park, which was fun for Ellie.
Ellie loved riding this bouncy car.

The slide is always a hit!

Lynnie surprised me by coming down the slide all by herself--for the first time!

Shhh--someone fell asleep on the walk home...

We had a great morning meeting Tayler, Josh, and Matthew at the Salt Lake Aquarium and then having lunch at Paradise Bakery.  We love Tayler and her family so much!  It is always great to see her and spend time with her.

We loved this big turtle!  Ellie likes to tell me that she loves turtles, and so does Tayler.

Matthew, let's go!

Lynlee was so chill and spent a lot of time in her stroller.  She was good as long as she was moving.  She also got to walk around a lot, until she got tired.  She wanted to hold my hand and Greg's hand , or my hand and Tayler's hand.

Matthew found this fun turtle hat/mitten combo in the gift shop.

we made souvenir pennies-- a turtle and a penguin

Daddy's game is to say, "take your finger out of your mouth!"

Ophthalmologist, Again

Lynnie recognizes the ophthalmologists office now, and does not like to be there.  Dr. Young measured Lynnie again and confirmed that she will need surgery on her eyes; we are scheduled for May 9.  The biggest risk is from the general anesthesia.
loving my straw cup!

exploring--standing & walking

I don't like this doctor!

Dad & Ellie to the rescue

Ellie tried to help by holding a fan with flashing lights, but Lynnie wasn't buying it
